Samsung unveiled its new Galaxy S10 Lite smartphone, which is a less expensive version than its previous Galaxy S10 phone.
The Lite version includes adjustments to the screen, camera and battery, and Samsung has also made slight modifications to the design. For example, we will notice the presence of a circular camera hole in the center on the new phone after it was in the upper corner previously.
On the back, we will notice a completely different camera combination from the basic version, where the S10 Lite version comes with a vertical composition of the cameras inside a black rectangle, roughly similar to what we saw on Google Pixel 4 and iPhone 11 phones, after it was in the basic version comes as a rectangular crossbar.
The screen has become bigger in the Galaxy S10 Lite version, but at the same time it is less accurate, and it only supports HDR compared to HDR + in the basic version.
And Samsung has dispensed on the Galaxy S10 Lite phone from its Exynos 9820 processor, which runs the basic version in some geographical regions such as the Middle East and Europe.
The Lite version includes only the Snapdragon 855 7nm processor for all countries where it will be available, while the same processor was exclusively for China and the United States in the basic version.
As far as cameras are concerned, the new S10 Lite phone lacks a telephoto camera, and this has been compensated by a 48-megapixel camera with a new technology called Super Steady OIS. Samsung says it is the best optical stabilization technology present in the phones market today.
It appears that the Galaxy S10 comes as a different step from Samsung at the beginning of the new year to urge users who are not interested in its upcoming phone S20 to buy the Lite version because it comes at a lower price and includes all the specifications that the user is looking for in a company-produced phone.
Thus, those wishing to purchase the latest Galaxy S series phones in 2020 will have two options, either Galaxy S10 Lite or relying on the more powerful Galaxy S20.
