A 2-уeаr-Old Girl Goes to Shelter аnd Piсks Siсk, Shу Pit Bull Who Just Needs Love

Because there are so many dogs in shelters, they are all looking for a permanent home. Tragically, some people might request additional time.

Many dogs frequently get passed over by adopters in favor of younger, more traditionally appealing puppies because to their breed, age, looks, or health issues.

But once in a while, a decent person steps forth and exhibits compassion for these animals. A pit bull was adopted from the shelter by a 2-year-old girl who had chosen him over all the other animals.

When Audra Spurio brought her 2-year-old daughter to the shelter to adopt a dog, she never anticipated being pulled to a sick and mangey pit bull. Despite seeing that the dog needed some attention, the small child persevered.

The Dodo interviewed Audra, who said that "my kid wanted to meet her more than any other dog at the shelter that day." Even though the dog "stunk like mange," the young child insisted that it should be retained, stating, "Mommy, that one."

The dog was let out into the yard. Gigi said, "I need your assistance.

The pit bull was permitted to go outdoors and play as a result of Gigi agreeing to the girl's request. The youngster was usually gentle and understanding, but the dog was fearful and timid.

Many children may have been "grossed out" by the dog's conditions, but Gigi just saw a companion in need.

As the young couple played outside and the girl gave the dog belly rubs and kisses, their early connection was clear to see.

"I saw this scared puppy melt in G's hands," Audra said. She clung tenaciously to my daughter and wouldn't let go.

Gigi begged her mother to take the pit bull home so they could take care of her until she was put back in her kennel. Says a young child, "Sick doggie, go home."

Fortunately, the young girl's wish was granted. Out of all the dogs at the shelter that day, she fell in love with the sick pit bull, and Scarlett, as she is now known, has a new home.

Audra told The Dodo that Scarlett is now back at home and doing much better. She continues to aspire for G.

Gigi and her love for animals have inspired nearly 14 million YouTube followers, many of whom have expressed optimism for the future.

What a thoughtful and lovely young person. We are thrilled that Scarlett has a loving family, a lovely house, and a kind caregiver.
