I once had a tiny abandoned kitten under my deck that I couldn't get out; it just meowed meowed but was too afraid to come out. My dog was standing at my door waiting for me to let him out to go potty, so I thought I'd come back later and try to get the kitty to come out, but as soon as my big dog came out, the kitten came right out and ran right to my dog, claiming it as its mommy, and I found myself with a new cat.
